Through hands-on, real-world experiences and a commitment to academic excellence, we nurture confident, compassionate, and capable individuals who are prepared to succeed in our evolving world.
Our Space
Based on the one-room schoolhouse model, we have an ample, dedicated classroom with outdoor space and a pool on Enchanted Lake in Kailua. Our goal is to foster experiential learning, promote activity, and give students autonomy while maintaining a structured, robust curriculum. Our one-room Schoolhouse offers multi-age learning while tailoring the curriculum to every student's learning style and level.
Our Founder
Gwyneth Wallace has been in education for over thirty years. She founded the Schoolhouse to offer a quality alternative to regular schooling for students who thrive in small classes with differentiated learning. She combines standards and performance-based curriculum with the homeschool model, partnering with families to offer flexibility and voice to create the best model for each student.
